Tuesday, October 18th, 2011I cannot focus on one task at a time. You’ll always see me doing multiple things. For example, when I watch tv, I’ll be on my laptop. Sometimes, I even watch tv while playing my Kawai MP6. As I was playing the Kawai MP6 last week though, I saw Family Guy come on tv.
If you have ever watched Family Guy, you would know that the Lois is playing on the piano during the intro. Well, I kind of felt like challenging myself. Next time it came out on tv, I would be playing the intro theme song with Lois on my Kawai MP6.
Well, I practiced the theme song on my Kawai MP6 for the rest of the week. It actually wasn’t very hard to pick up, but since I’m a perfectionist, I spent some extra time on it. Today, when the show came on, I played the theme song on my Kawai MP6 absolutely flawlessly. It went hand-in-hand with the tv exactly.

Thursday, September 29th, 2011Having a chat with some of my old school buddies, thinking about how we used to have a band but never made the cut into the spotlight, Freddie the lead guitarist brought along his ES, and even after all these years it still looks amazing. Clearly this was his best electric guitar, even after his countless investments into so many, he plugged it into his mini amp and as we sat on the porch, it was clear that Blues and Beer were a match made in heaven.
This however got me thinking, what about this ES that makes it sound so good and last so long, obviously it was Freddie, but there was more than that, it was the guitar itself. The wood they used and the craftsmanship, it all made that ES sound like a million bucks.
Its true, you can search it on the internet, or tell one of your grand kids to do it for you if you are like me.
